Squid 1.0.0, a caching proxy server, is available as a NEXTSTEP package (compiled for m68k, sparc, hppa and i386) at:

It comes as an Installer.app package and has a few NEXTSTEP-specific fixes. It should run under NEXTSTEP 3.2, 3.3 and 4.0, although I've only tested it under 3.3. (Earlier betas ran fine under 3.2)
