FD usage and 1.NOVM.10 under Slowlaris

I think this was mentioned a few days ago - but not having the problem then I
ignored it :|

1.NOVM.10 under Solaris 2.5.1 is leaving lots of FD's (~600 out of 4096) in
the "writing /some/file/0X/0X/000000X" state, with 0 byte files accompanying
them. What's the fix?
