Recommended Machine Question

Can anyone recommend a good setup for a linux based squid system?

There would be a max. of 80 dial-up users accessing the system plus a max.
of 20 local machines (100 give or take).

The connection itself to the net is 256k.

Any recommendations would be helpful. Also, do we have to worry about
running out of "file handles" (hope that's the correct term) under the
Linux OS with only 100 users accessing the box.

Finally, if we went with a 5-6 gig drive, is this going to be effecient or
just defeat the purpose by running too large a cache?
