It assumes that all disks are the same size. If one is twice the size of
the other then you can try:

cache_dir /disk1/squid/cache1
cache_dir /disk1/squid/cache2
cache_dir /disk2/squid/cache

and twice as much will be written to disk1 (split between the cache1 and
cache2 directories) then to disk2.

(Isn't this in a FAQ somewhere? I'm sure I've seen this same question many
times before...)
