I applied the patch, and when I get an ERR_DNS_FAIL in cache.log for a
valid host, it also says:

dnsserver message: (null)

For a "correct" ERR_DNS_FAIL, i.e. where the host indeed doesn't exist, we
get:

dnsserver message: DNS Domain 'www.guinness.co.uk' is invalid: Host not
found (authoritative).
