Someone recently asked a question about this...

It pointed the RealPlayer Plus (Release 4.0 RC5, 4.0.20.134, the commercial
version) to my Squid server at port 8030.

Using the Preferences->Transport tab I selected 'Use specified transports'
and with the 'Specified Transports' button I selected use 'HTTP Only'.

Here's my /var/cache/logs/access.log:

(A Daffy Duck Looney Tune from Warner Bros).

Netstat output:

FYI and maybe a FAQ entry?
