Is 'get a binary' always the same binary.
It's quite possible for for squid to cache a corrupted copy. Once
it's in the cache, anyone asking for it gets the same duff version.
We use ftp caching here and it's usually fine but occasionally !***
squid and cachemgr can be compiled to allow a group to be able to
erase any cached file
