Authentication

Hi,

We are having a problem here and I need the help of someone who
knows the squid code.

I have the following problem. When an object is requested from a
sibling, who is authenticating, the object is denied. This seems really
straight forward to fix.

I wrote into proxyAuthenticate in client_side.c the code that will
return a username when the IP address of the request is from an address
listed in the Peer structure. But, then to my amazement the queries from
a neighbour never actually calls this code.

So what I'm after is, where is the decision made to ask for
authentication or not?? in relation to neighbors?

Also, if you really want to throw this in, why is this done??

Thanks,

Dave.
