LM_age

Hello,

I run into the following problem with the LM_age usage in
determining object reusability.

1. Some servers do not provide a Last-Modified header in the response.

2. The squid cache thus puts Last-Modified=Object-Date. This means
that LM_AGE=0.

3. Thus LM_FACTOR becomes infinite and the object is automatically
retrieved.

I see no way of preventing these repeated retrievals except to force
ALL objects to have a minimum age. Is there some other way? Have I
misunderstood the process?

Thanks in advance,

Kapil.
