hooks for updating cache

Hi,

I'm modifying squid to notify the cache updating information
to other machines.
Now I have a question where I should insert the notification function
in squid-1.1.20 source file...

In store.c, I've installed the hooks in following functions:
  storeSwapOutHandle() -> notify that object has been cached in disk
  storeRelease() -> notify that object has been removed in disk/memory
But, the number of notifications from storeRelease() was much less
than storeSwapOutHandle(), and I couldn't observe the cache removal
in squid.

Does anyone know how to know object removal from the cache disk ?
