Traffic generate to the proxy

I am now testing the proxy server and evaluating its performance. My
Squid proxy is running on Linux RedHat 5.0. It is not ready for users.
I just want to see the analysis and statistics in different settings and
configuration.

Do anyone know how to generate traffic loading to the proxy server
continuously?
Does any sources of program can do this ?
