take a look at www.webpersonals.com. It is now running up to 4 Million
Hits a day distributed over 3 web servers.

The process I followed generaly was to:
1) get accelleration mode working
I did this on a seperate machine and set the system up to
accellerate requests on port 80 to a regular web server.
2) I created a simple rdir.pl program.
The first step I took was to have redir write all URL's to a file
so I could verify the format. I then got the program working in a
        more meaningfull way.
3) once you have your hair back from the previous 2 steps :)
sit back and enjoy the pritty lights.
