Not for me also,
 
  usually at ~900 FD im getting up to Page Faults=(0.5*TCP connections)
and normally this ration is < 0.4 . But you are correct that Solaris is
behaving "strange" with Squid. It takes me 2 weeks to successed running
squid1.1.21 on Solaris2.5.1 (i have try 2.6 also - its better , ill
upgrade soon) in the way i should be .. I wonder if someone have
prepared some tips on Squid+Solaris ?
