Connection from DNSSERVER #5 is closed, disabling

I decided to try out 1.2.22, but none of the connections seem to be working.
Every time anyone connects, it gets this error:

FD 11: Connection from DNSSERVER #5 is closed, disabling

with various FD's and dnsserver numbers. Compiled using:

./configure --enable-snmp --enable-icmp --enable-async-io --enable-delay-ha
ck --enable-cachemgr-hostname=iocache-1

Linux 2.0.34
gcc version 2.7.2.3
Cyrix Cx86MX 200Glibc 2.0.6 w/ Pthreads
Virtual configuration, host == virtual port == 80 main port == 3128

Also, kill -HUP seems to completely kill squid altogether. Kill -15 the main
root processes also seems to break it, when it restarts it says it can't
bind the HTTP port.
