The "RabbIT" proxy

Just saw this on www.freshmeat.net...

RabbIt is the mutating, caching webproxy which is used to speed up surfing
over slow links like modems. It does this by removing advertising,
background images and scaling down images to lowquality jpeg's. All this
means its less to download and you still see the page as it is (mostly).
RabbIT is written in Java and should be able to run on any plattform, it
does depend upon a imageconverter (if imagescaleing is on). The current
choice of imageconverter is convert for now.
