proxy_auth and ie4

hi out there
i have a problem with squid proxy_auth and microsoft ie4.0
when i want to login nothing happens. but after i have pressed the cancel
button and retype the url it works when i have made the right login.
but if i have made a wrong login nothing happens
if tryed it also with netscape and it works.

is there a patch for these problem
if yes pleas send me
