trouble compiling squid 2.0

I'm having trouble compiling squid 2.0 PATCH 2 on a BSDI 2.1 system with
gcc version 2.7.2. The specific error is:

gcc -g -O2 -Wall -I. -I../include -I../include -c access_log.c
In file included from access_log.c:38:
squid.h:257: redefinition of `struct rusage'
*** Error code 1

Stop.

Stop.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
