HUGE size of squid binary after compile

I just compiled Squid 2.1 PATCH1 on my Sco system and
I've notice the size of the squid binary on /usr/local/squid/bin,
it's approximately 8.5 meg. Is this normal? I have a P-II 300
with 128 mb ram system and aside from that it seems to
work fine.
