www.hotmail.com

The cachemanager of a child proxy using our parent proxies complains
that his users can't connect to
        www.hotmail.com
They get a timeout.
(They have no problem without proxy.)

Testing with telnet from the proxy host results in a connection timeout.

My look into the FAQ and the mail archive was not very helpfull.
All I found was about configuring the "hierarchy_stoplist" and
this didn't help to solve the problem.

We guess that "hotmail.com" has a blocking list of IP addresses.

Questions:
- is it possible to solve the problem by changing our configuration?
- do we need to contact "hotmail.com" ? - contact e-mail?

Configuration details:
- it's a squid 1. novm 22 on solaris, single-homed
- "hierarchy_stoplist hotmail 207.82.250.251 207.82.252.251" is set

Thanks for any help
Ernst

PS. setting up an automaic proxy config for the browsers is not a
solution because the installation of transparant proxyeing
is planed for the near future.
