High Download from Parent

        Hi Everyone,

Got a strange problem that I am fishing for some answers for.
We are getting this flood of unwanted bandwidth from one of our parents.

We have a Squid 2.0PATCH2 setup with multiple parents for different
domain subsets (and redudant ones to back them up). From one parent
every few days for maybe 1-3 hours we get a huge flood of bandwidth, like
our link will go from 20% full to 70% full and stay up there for 1-3
hours then come back to 20%.

The upstream can see this huge flood of bandwidth on their link
stats going out of their Squid 1.1.20 (I assume viewing the ethernet port
on their switch with MRTG) and we can see it landing down our primary link
here. BUT its not showing up in calamaris as being parented by us and
its pushing the download volume per day to 150%-200% of what it should be.

Has anyone seen such behaviour with Squid 2.0 ?

Anyone having any thoughts or guesses as to what it might be or how
to detect it, either from my end or the parent's end.

        'C' ya ...
