Caching Incomplete files

I have a problem. We are running Squid 1.2beta24

Our Squid server seems to remember how big a cached document used to
be. If the Web server has a new version of a page that is larger
than the old version, the Squid server will only pass along part of
the new page.

Specific example follows:

A web server has a page that is 1,984 bytes. The Squid server has
cached this page. I update the page and it is now 2,436 bytes. I
force the Squid server to reload the page. Now it only passes the
first 1,984 of 2,436 bytes of the new file.
