AIX 4.2.1. Compile and Run Woes

I have been having trouble getting Squid 2.2pre1 to compile and run on
my AIX 4.2.1 platform. I won't go into detail, unless you want in
earful. If anyone has been successful at getting squid up and running
on AIX 4.2.1, please share with me your secrets.
