inside_firewall and DNS lookups

Squid FAQ-4.html#ss4.8 says that the use of inside_firewall directive
affects the server selection algorithm in tow ways:
There will be no DNS lookups for the URL-host.
The cache will always fetch the object from one of the parent caches.

I'm inside firewall and use squid-2.2.DEVEL3.
My squid.conf contains:
 cache_peer parent1 parent 8080 0 round-robin
 cache_peer parent2 parent 8080 0 round-robin
 always_direct allow mydomain
 never_direct allow all

I have a DNS server for mydomain inside firewall
and can't resolve outside hosts because firewall blocked it.

There were DNS lookups for the hosts outside mydomain
and squid was blocked by dnsserver.

Are any other configuration directives needed for me?
