acl w/ hashed database?

The stuff:
Squid 2
Solaris 2.6

I'm blocking access to specific sites with access control lists:
acl banned url_regex "/usr/local/squid/etc/banned"
http_access deny banned all

This is working ok. However, the list is growing quite large, and I
notice a speed degredation with the blocked sites acl's.

Is there a way to add berkelydb support into squid?
Like sendmail does it with virtusertabs, access, etc?

Any input would be appreciated.
