That is only if you are using IP-Filter for the port redirection / NAT
to get packets accepted at the TCP/IP level.

Squid knowns how to interface to two differen OS-based port redirectors:

1. Linux/(Free?)BSD kernel code, which supports the use of getsockname
to return the intended destination address.

2. IP-Filter, if --enable-ipf-transparent is used when configuring the
Squid build.
