Why does Squid direct fetch?

Hi,

I have installed Squid 2.2.STABLE2 on my Red Hat 5.2 with kernel 2.2.6,
and the following has happened:

When i access a new object (with Netscape):
- on the first try: in the store.log there is a SWAPOUT entry for the
object.
- on next try: this object has a RELEASE and then a SWAPOUT entry, and
the object fetched directrly.

These all took some seconds.

The "no_cache" entry in the config file has the default value.

(on an other network the Squid works well with (nearly) the same config
file)

I do not understand why it is work so.
