no-query disables the use of ICP, which is mostly unneeded overhead when
you only have reasonably well connected parent(s).

prefer_direct is a kludge in Squid 2.2, to tell Squid to prefer using a
parent rather than go direct when ICP isn't used (or failed to find a
alive parent).
