Squid needs access to a DNS server somewhere, usually configured in the
systems /etc/resolv.conf.
If you'd like Squid to use other DNS servers than what is configured in
/etc/resolv.conf, then the DNS server addresses can also be configured
in squid.conf.
Squids dnsserver processes is not a DNS server. It is a simple helper
process to Squid to do non-blocking DNS lookups.
