Hii *.*,
I do not know much about Squid, ...
its just running on our internet access SUSE Linux system about 1 year without
any problems. :-)
Some days ago squid stops working and I find this info in cache.log:
.....
1999/05/31 16:18:10| WARNING: All 15752 swap files are in use.
1999/05/31 16:18:10| You should probably use a lower value for
1999/05/31 16:18:10| 'store_avg_object_size' in squid.conf
1999/05/31 16:18:10| WARNING: storeOpenSwapFileRead: bad swap_file_number
1999/05/31 16:18:10| Swapfile open failed
....
Version: 1.NOVM.21
The value for store_avg_object_size is on default 13k and I do not believe that
this value caused the error.
I assumed that the cache handling was confused and deleted and rebuild it (squid
-z) and its running fine again, but ...
does anybody know this error?
Do I have to do anything to avoid happen this again?
Where can I find some more Info about squid? FAQ, etc...
Rolf
