Re[2]: DNS domain is invalid?

     All,
     
          The permissions were it. My squid user couldn't access
     /etc/resolv.conf and couldn't run some of the DNS commands.
     
          Thanks to the group and Rodrigo for the answer.

Hello John,
     
Try to run nslookup with the same user squid runs. If you couldn't run it, i
wouldtest the owner and permissions of dns files, for instance,
 /etc/nsswitch.conf and /etc/resolv.conf.
