I've just upgraded our 3 box proxy cluster to 2.2P3 + Henrik's
snapshot 19990606 and I must say it's the most stable squid
since quiet a while.
I've tried at different stage between 2.1P2 + 7 hno patches
and 2.2P3 without obtaining the stability of 2.1P2 + 7 hno patches.
So if peoples are using the same features as me, i can recomend
2.2P3+snapshot 19990606
System description:
3 linux boxes, compaq proliant 1850
3 disk each, 2 x 9GB 10000RPM for spooling.
Kernel 2.2.9+ipfix
512MB RAM each.
Squid features used:
transparent proxy
delay pools
async io (NUM_THREADS increased to 48 in aiops.c)
1024 fds (kernel 2.2.x does not need patch)
