rotate log -> .gz

Hello,

I have a couple of questions about the log rotate.

I operating rotate Squid log by cron everyday. but Squid log is big.
Could anyone out there tell me how to archive all rotate log ".gz"
or ".Z" ?

current crontab :
0 3 * * * /usr/local/squid/bin/squid -k rotate

I want to rotate log files, following to :
access-log -> access-log.0.gz
access-log.0.gz -> access-log.1.gz
access-log.1.gz -> access-log.2.gz
....

System: Solaris2.6
Squid : Squid-2.2.STABLE4
