        You should take that up with the KDE people, as it is
        their policy decision. At a guess they have set this
        expiry policy on the whole site because they don't have
        adequate connectivity to support people updating daily.

        It is possible that 14 days is considered acceptable, or
        it is possible that they should have given a shorter
        expiry on the home page (you can handle urgent news on other
        pages by allocating a new URL).

        I know of at least one site that is only ever updated at
        00:00 GMT Saturday, but were they don't have access to, or
        don't know how to control the meta data.

        Squid is behaving correctly.
