Hi.
I'm using squid-2.2.STABLE4 on linux-2.2.11 with a 8 GB cache on
a single ultra-scsi hdd and have one serious problem. Out of nowhere,
squid dies and takes the linux box down with it. There are no hints
given in the messages log or in the cache.log, at least no hints i
can sort in. Maybe someone could help me with interpreting the
messages quoted below, which are from the cache.log, with
"debug_options ALL,2" in squid.conf.
One single (the only fatal) error message crashed in console 1,
saying: "INIT: Panic. Segmentation violation. Giving up...".
But that happened only once, on one of three complete lockups of
the machine in 3 days.
squid is compiled with 1024 FDs, as i had some problems with that
before. The NR_OPEN value in /usr/include/linux/limits.h and fs.h is
therefore set to 1024.
