web pages not being cached

Greetings,

I'm using squid-2.2.STABLE3 under RH Linux 5.2 and it doesn't seem to be
caching web pages as I would have expected. When I go to the same site
four times in a row for example Squid reports the fetches as misses:

But when I go to the Squid site it seems to cache the pages properly:

Any ideas as to this behavior?
