Have a look at http://info.ost.eltele.no/freeware/squidGuard/
It's a free filter/redirector plugin for squid and comes with a sample blacklist of:
13912 domains
31666 urls
45578 total
Note the squidGuard blacklist is somewhat smart and is therefor much more powerful than
just 45578 urls!
It performs well with any list size -- Even with One million banned sites:)
I wouldn't recommend regex filtering for filtering out more than a dozen sites or so.

Is there any way to filter out a list of sites using squid
eg have a text file with a list of sites that are not allowed in and tell squid to use this file
