When squid starts it tells you which DNS server addresses
it is using:

2000/01/13 13:09:03| idnsParseResolvConf: nameserver 128.117.28.219
2000/01/13 13:09:03| idnsAddNameserver: Added nameserver #0: 128.117.28.219

Did squid find correct servers for your system?
