Squid and ftp on dialup

hi,

is it possible to make ftp connections with authentication for the hosts

that are behind squid???????

Example:

I have a private network with a Squid-server that connect dial-up with a ISP.

If i make ftp with browser there are no problem(but i can't make put etc..)

But i can't make ftp with a client ftp with non anonymous authentication.

Is this possible????
