Write the configuration file by hand. It is not that hard actually.
Start with a example of a simple traffic graph and then build on from
there with the values you are interested in graphing.

No patching of MRTG required to graph Squid.

See the IncludeMIBs (or something like that) MRTG configuration
directive. Tell it the path to the Squid mib file.
