Transparent proxy issues

  Hello,

Forgive me if this issue has been discussed before or it's already solved.

Squid actting as transparent proxy is able to handle request destined to
only one port, defined as httpd_accel_port. Why doesn't it takes the port
from the "Host:" header where it takes address from, or from
http->conn->me.sin_port, if "Host:" not present or from
natLookup.nl_realport, if using IP Filter ? Two last cases are totally weird
in my opinion - if squid takes real IP addres from the system structures,
why doesn't it take port ?
I'm currently working on a patch to client_side.c fixing this problem and
allowing squid to act as transparent proxy for more than one destination
port.

Greetings,
