why don't you adjust the 'maximum_object_size'? fwiw, the nlanr's
top-level caches (at least sv.us.ircache.net does) use a
maximum_object_size of 100 MB.

you'll probably sacrifice perfomance but you'll trade it off for an
increase in byte hit ratio.
