[SQU] icp ping question!

When I set my second cache as parent it doesnt reply to icp pings.
what may be the problem?

I compiled squid with pinger enabled and the client cache is sending pings
as I see from cachemgr output but there is nothing in the parent cache
like it received some pings etc.

The parent have2 IP aaddresses on the same interface and I tried to set it
parent by using both IP addresses from the clients conf file but it didnt
help

any ideas?
