Hi I was wondering if this is a similar problem!

I asked earlier about the same thing but have had no luck.
Bombed out nig time today, lost the whole opsys.

I noticed that the memory usage in squid builds from 20Mb up to 160Mb
then suddenly drops back down?????
I looked through the messages log and found this:

Sep 5 16:15:16 foxlink3 squid[486]: Squid Parent: child process 614
exited due to signal 9
Sep 5 16:15:16 foxlink3 kernel: swap_duplicate: entry 44203038,

Sep 5 16:15:16 foxlink3 kernel: VM: killing process squid
Sep 5 16:15:19 foxlink3 squid[486]: Squid Parent: child process 642

This is a new Redhat linux build 6.2 on a Pentium 3

Anybody have any Idea's

Andrew
