[SQU] & ipchains

I`m running Squid on Linux RH 6.0..2.2.5-15
IPchains 1.3.8-3
Squid 2.4DEVEL2
Question is about ipchains config...
When I configuring external interface.
Is it right to set accept rule to all ports from 1024 to 65535 except some system listening ports...

Where I can found more info about it ??
