[SQU] Running my first squid server

Hi guys,

I'm new to linux and squid.... I have seup a RH6.2 and Squid 2.3STABLE1 at
home running on my old P90 machine... It was all ok, except that I have
problem with host name that have underscores. Then I downloaded the source
2.3STABLE4, compiled it with the enable underscore option. After I
installed it I cannot run squid properly.

For example, if I start squid manually, then "ps -ae | grep squid" it return
"859 squid", then after 1 minute or so, the process is gone. What have I do
wrong?

I have uninstalled the original squid (included with RH) before I install
the new one.
