[SQU] NIC stop responding

Hi.
I am runing squid on my machine PII 350MHz having 192MB RAM (Redhat 6.2,
Kernel 2.2.14).
Squid runs very smoothly but after approximately 20 to 30 minutes my
machine NIC (SMC 10/100Mbps PCI) stop responding. So I have to reboot it
and after that it works fine again.
Please tell me why it is happening? What is the possible cause for this?
Any help?
