Hi,

I am assuming that you compiled squid once you had
upgraded your solaris box!!

One possible reason why squid maybe using 101% is if
squid does not lock the PID of the file and thus keeps
spooling multiple copies of itself.

At the console, just check this is so, by typing:

ps ax | grep "squid"

If you have just one return then this is not the
problem. The other thing that you can check is to see
if the PID file is locked. I am unsure of the path for
your solaris box, but on my linux box it is:

/var/lock/subsys/squid.pid.

I hope that this is of help.
E-mail me back to let me know if I can be of further
help.

Regards,

Thomas Adam
