[SQU] Accelarator and proxy_auth

I confgured my (2.4.PRE-STABLE) squid accelarator to allow internal users
with no obstruction:

All other users must be authenticated (using an extranal program)

acl internal src 10.30.0.0/16 192.168.0.0/16
http_access allow internal
acl external proxy_auth REQUIRED
http_access allow external

For internal users all is OK But....the external users keep getting : Access
Denied Instead of a realm!!!

If I use the squid as a proxy, ..I get a realm for the user nam/password and
all is ok!

Why does the accelarator not ask for a username password?
