Yes, the syntax has changed. Hopefully you will find it is to the easier
;-)

Since you are using the defaults you do not need any of the options and
can simply specify:

cache_dir diskd /usr/local/squid/cache/1 15240 16 256

Or if you like you can spell it out fully with all the options
specified:

cache_dir diskd /usr/local/squid/cache/1 15240 16 256 max-size=-1 Q1=64
Q2=72
