Two methods:

First method:

Use the client binary to request the same info pages. cachemgr.cgi is
merely a small program which reformats the text-based information Squid
presents into HTML for browsers...

Start with
   client mgr:

then dive down in the menus by using mgr:menuname

Second method:

Many of the metrics are also available via SNMP.
